When Oscar Kowalski first conceived 'Due North', it was never meant to be a collaboration.

Still, once Peter Belec heard it, he jumped on board with some new ideas. He decided to add some filter swept white noise with his new polysynth, which led to the eventual heart of Due North, the sampled crunchy footsteps in the snow. That's when they both decided that this song belonged to the winter, hence its name.
